E-STOP、锁定电脑,以及从 Finder 载入音频。
E-STOP#
The red E-STOP button sits at the top right of every panel window, level with the MENU / PATCH / UTILITY buttons and above the right-hand button column. Press it to stop all automation:
- Every deck behaves as if its AUTO were bypassed. Cue stacks, smart cues and track triggers stop firing, and everything they were driving releases: OSD, cue clicks and cue outputs.
- The Cue Editor's deck-follow audio lanes and video lanes stop.
- The decks themselves keep playing. The Patch's live data still flows.
While it is engaged, the E-STOP button flashes red in every window. Press it again to resume; automation picks up from wherever the decks are. E-STOP survives a restart: It is remembered on this machine (never in the show, never adopted) and the app comes back up with E-STOP engaged if it was engaged when it quit.
Per machine: E-STOP is never sent over the SK Network. On an adopted machine, its own E-STOP always wins. The master cannot release it, and adoption updates do not change it.
Machine lock (Ctrl+Esc)#
Ctrl+Esc anywhere in ShowKontrol locks the machine: every display goes black with the ShowKontrol logo, LOCKED, the machine's name and the show file. Mouse and keyboard do nothing, ShowKontrol's windows are hidden, the menu bar / Dock / app switching / Force Quit / log-out are disabled and quitting is refused. The show keeps running and its outputs stay visible (OSD text, video lanes, Graphic-node screen outputs sit above the lock). Ctrl+Esc again unlocks and restores everything. Machines fully adopted over the ShowKontrol Network lock and unlock with their master (a local Ctrl+Esc can still unlock one of them).
Drop audio files from the Finder#
- On the Catalog or the Set List: Each dropped audio file becomes a track named after the file, with the file on its audio layer 1. It is analysed like the Cue Editor's Add audio clip: Waveform, beat grid and song structure. The track's total time comes from the file.
- On the Set List, the track is also added to the active set. If all sets are collapsed, it goes into the first set.
- You can drop several files at once. They are imported one after another (a few seconds each), with progress in the status line.
- A file that is already some track's audio reuses that track instead of making a copy.
- On a player in the bottom bar: The file loads on that player and the deck switches to Internal Player, the same as Load on Internal Player. The LOAD button's EJECT returns the deck to what it was doing before.
- While you drag, the list or the player panel you are over lights up blue and says what the drop will do.
- A track from the Catalog or Set List onto a player: Drag the track's row down onto a panel in the bottom player bar and let go. It loads there the same way as the PLAY chip → Load on Internal Player N, so you don't need to pick the deck from the menu. The panel under the pointer lights up blue and shows Load “track” on Player N. Dropped anywhere else, nothing loads. In the Set List, the same drag still reorders the tracks while the pointer stays in the list. In the Catalog, ⌘-clicks stay selection clicks and do not start a drag.
- Hold ⇧ (Shift) while dragging or at the drop to load on the real player with that number instead, the same as the PLAY chip's right-click menu. It loads from the shared rekordbox library. The panel reads Load "track" on CDJ-3000X (2). You can press or release ⇧ during the drag.
- Red = it won't load. The panel turns red and says why: *No audio,
add a clip in the Cue Editor*, or with ⇧: no real player with that number, rekordbox offline, or the track isn't in the rekordbox library yet. Letting go on a red panel does nothing, and in the Set List it doesn't reorder the list either.
- An internal deck's panel has LOAD and EJECT side by side. LOAD picks what plays. EJECT stops the internal audio and turns the player back into a Link player, restoring its earlier source/file settings when it was switched by Load on Internal Player or a drop.
- A player switched to Internal always shows its internal deck in the player bar and the Viewer.
- Supported files: WAV, AIFF, MP3, M4A/AAC, FLAC, CAF.
